2024 Chief Convention in Nashville A Great Success

PEMBROKE, NC -- “One of the best ever!” and “The future is bright for Phi Nu!” This is how the Brothers of Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity described the 2024 Chief Convention, held July 25-28, 2024, in Nashville, TN. Brothers were engaged and excited to share ideas for improving the Fraternity. They bonded, participated in professional development sessions, provided service to the citizens of Nashville, held an annual meeting, and elected new members of the Chief Council.

Highlights from the 2024 Chief Convention
First Chief Convention held off a college campus.
One of the best attended Chief Conventions.
First in-person Chief Convention since 2016.
Service project held at Habitat for Humanity ReStore Nashville.
Chief Dues increased to $200 to generate additional Fraternity revenue.
Held the first Chapter Omega ceremony to recognize and honor Brothers who passed away.
First swearing-in ceremony (with a new oath) held for new members of the Chief Council.
Received reports from the Chief Council and Chapters on activities since the last Chief Convention.
Numerous opportunities to explore Music City!
Breakout Sessions
The Chief Convention began with seven breakout sessions, facilitated by members of the Chief Council, that addressed numerous topics. The topics included:

Marketing and Fraternity Branding
Chapter Best Practices
Intake and Recruitment
Conflict Resolution
Chapter Excellence Plan
Goals and Planning for the Future
Resolutions
The Brotherhood adopted Resolution No: 2024-01 which
Increased Chief Dues from $150 to $200.
The minimum intake fee for ma’enos increased from $250 to $300 to account for the increase in Chief Dues.
Gave chapters the flexibility to charge an intake fee greater than the minimum amount, pending approval from the Chief Dean of Ma’enos.
Effective immediately.
