July 27, 2025
PEMBROKE, NC -- “Best Chief Convention we have ever had!” and the 30th Year will be a great year!” This is how the Brothers of Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity described the 2025 Chief Convention, held July 24-27, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK at the First Americans Museum. Brothers were engaged and excited to share ideas for improving the Fraternity. Purpose of the Nu Warrior Foundation reads as follows; The Nu Warrior Foundation serves as the national foundation and philanthropic arm of Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity. Established to support the mission and values of the Fraternity, the Foundation provides funding beyond Phi Sigma Nu’s normal operating budget to create meaningful programs that benefit both Fraternity members and the broader American Indian community. Our work focuses on:
Supporting Education and Scholarships: We advance leadership, service, and academic achievement among Native American students and communities. This includes the Phi Sigma Nu Fallen Warriors Scholarship, created to honor the memory and determination of Brothers who have passed away, known as our “Fallen Warriors.” The scholarship is available to American Indian men who are enrolled in a state or federally recognized tribe, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and attending an accredited four-year college or university, community college, or tribal college or university as graduating high school seniors, sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
Promoting Cultural Education and Awareness: Through outreach and charitable programming, we help foster cultural education, preserve Native American heritage, and promote understanding and respect for our communities’ diverse traditions and experiences.
Providing Support in Times of Loss: We recognize that grief can place both emotional and financial strain on our Brothers and their families. The Foundation offers a Condolence Fund to provide monetary assistance to Brothers mourning the loss of an immediate family member or to support the family of a Fallen Warrior, helping ease financial burdens during difficult times..
