What I Have Learned…
"Being a Native American/American Indian in a predominantly Caucasian society creates interesting questions on a daily basis. My favorite question asked of me was if I still lived in a teepee. This question came from a child, but it still leaves one to ponder if there are some people out there in our ‘connected’ society that truly still believe that we are relics of some past time that only appear in movies and books."
"I said NO. We are here thriving, participating, and making differences in our culture as well as others for ourselves, our families, our ancestors, and those unborn!"
Personal Reflections:
The best… fraternity in the world is Phi Sigma Nu!
The worst… Bookers, enough said
Cars & Money… Easy come, easy go—don’t put too much emphasis on them.
I wish… I didn’t party so hard during college
It’s always been my philosophy…
“So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, and beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people... When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”– Tecumseh, Shawnee Nation
